Support from Her Centre

If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse and needs help, Her Centre can provide free advice and support.

When a woman is experiencing abuse, she may be referred to the HER Centre by professionals such as the police, housing teams, children’s services, or healthcare providers. Once a referral is received, our team will make contact within 48 hours to introduce our services and talk through how we can help.

With her consent, we carry out a personalised risk assessment and create a tailored safety plan, offering ongoing support and regular check-ins to ensure she feels supported every step of the way. For women who are not referred through this process, we also offer a range of accessible support options, which can be explored on our services page.

You can contact us on 020 3260 7772 or by emailing info@hercentre.org

Make a Referral

Referrals are open to GPs for patients, for teenage girls experiencing abuse, for any women experiencing sexual violence and stalking.

High risk referrals must be made through the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC).

You can contact the Domestic Violence helpline on 020 8317 8273 or our One Stop shops on Wednesdays and Fridays.

To refer a woman to any of our below support services, please complete the Referral Form for Greenwich Borough, and GP Referral Form, for GPs to refer victims of abuse.

Complete and email it back to info@hercentre.org or call 0203 260 7772 for more information.

“I created a prison for myself for a period of time after the trial and didn’t go anywhere on my own after dark, I also refused to leave my flat during the weekends until I had to go to work on Monday mornings. The therapy supported me through re-identifying myself and realise I shouldn’t feel guilty..”
